And you can pick who loves you. Keep them around and cherish them forever. You’ll never know when you will need them again in your life.
The first time I was feeling down on my luck, I stumbled on a wonderful family that took me in as one of their own. They encouraged my talents and showed me new ones. They pushed me to keep doing better and to rock as hard as I could. There were tips and tricks that I learned that you couldn’t find on YouTube. And there was the “extended family”, which were the other stragglers like myself that they helped build up.
As I find myself struggling again, I’m told to keep going forward. I think I’ll start by going backwards into the past and get lifted up by the family that brought me out of a dark hour. I trust them with my life. I trust them to bring me out of my darkest of hours.
