What we had was something you can only find once in a lifetime. Two beautiful and powerful people with the skills to boost each other up. There was shared dreams and common goals for the life ahead of us. We built an amazing child that is full of love for the world around him.
What we needed was to find the strength and integrity to encourage us to work together as the powerful team we could be. The support to support each other through the trials we had encountered. To continue to lift each other up as we were both down in the ruts. We needed empathy and understanding to push us to be better than we could have ever been.
What we got was enough of a corrupted morality to willingly compound the resentment. A love of drama to seek to drive the wedge further between us. We found such a complete lack of empathetic behavior to be able to make a conscious choice to smash the future of a child like an old mirror thrown to the curb.
At a time when love and care was needed most, we found someone dishonorable to seek to capitalize on the vulnerabilities in our relationship. The system works as intended.
